Candy Chick Nests

Share these candy nests with your friends and family for Easter.

You will need:

  • 1 C chocolate chips and
  • 1-1/2 C dried, bagged Chow Mein noodles from the Asian aisle
  • Muffin Tin
  • Egg shaped candies such as:  jelly beans, peanut M&Ms, yogurt covered nuts, mini candy eggs etc. etc.
  • Aluminum foil
  • Candy that resemble bird eggs (peanut M&M's, jelly beans, or yogurt-covered almonds)
  • Marshmallow chicks
Lay a sheet of foil on top of a muffin pan and gently press in the cup parts.
Melt the chocolate chips (and/or peanut butter chips) in the microwave a few seconds at a time.  We want them melted not cooked.  Once they have melted, stir them into a bowl of the chow Mein noodles. Quickly and gently, stir the two together.  With clean hands, gently press a small scoopful in the lined muffin tin.  Press along the sides to make your nest shape.    Set them aside to cool off and set.

When they have cooled, remove them from the muffin pan and place the “eggs” in the nests.  Add your marshmallow chick.
